On Aril 19, 2020, the 'Eide Senior. has left its long time lay up at the closed Stamnes Yard in the Vaksdal municipality, and was towed by the Danish tug "Hunter' to Smedegarden in Esbjerg to be broken up, ETA April 22. Leaking Anders was threatening Eide Senior
The "Eide Senior" was threatened too when on Dec 13, 2016, the Norwegian cargo m/v "Anders", 437 gt (IMO: 5016171), suffered water ingress in the stern at the quay of the Stamnes Motorverkstad and started to list to port. Firefighters from Dale and Vaksdal were alerted to the scene at noon. The ship heeled 10 to 20 degrees. Dewatering of the vessel started at 12.15 p.m. At 4.30 p.m. the firefighters managed to stabilize the ship somehow, but the situation was not resolved yet. The leak in the engine room had not yet been localized. Oil spilt into the water, and oul booms were mobilized from Bergen. The "Anders" was tied up alongside the "Eide Senior", which was threatened to go down if the freighter sank.
