Fri Nov 01 12:15:32 CET 2019 Timsen

On Nov 1, 2019, at 3.40 a.m. the 'Elsava' broke lose from its anchorage where it was stuck outside the fairway since Oct 22, due to the rising water level on the Danube. The ship drifted 100 meters downstream and allided with a fairway buoy at Stephansposching in the Deggendorf municipality. The buoy got entangled with the rudder of the barge which was disabled and now blocking the fairway. The river authority blocked ship traffic at the accident site. The police in Deggendorf launched an investigation. The 'Elsava' berthed in the port of Deggendorf the same day at 10.50 a.m. She left the port of Deggendorf after inspections and repairs on Nov 5 at 6.40 a.m. and headed to Donauvjaros.
