Engine failure in Marmaris

In the afternoon hours of Sep 10, 2018, the Port Authority of Karystos was informed by the captain of the "Evia Star" that the ferry had suffered a failure of the left main engine. The scheduled sailing from Marmaris to Rafina was taken over by the "Panorama". The "Evia Star" was detained the damage was repaired and a class certificate was provided by the shipowner.

Ferry lost anchor in Rafina

In the morning of Aug 2, 2018, the Central Port Authority of Rafina was informed about the loss of the port side bow anchor of the "Evia Star" during the arrival at the port , coming from Marmari.The ferry was detained while it was inspected and allowed it to continue its voyage after the renewal of the class certification.

Ferry evacuated after bomb threat

The "Evia Star" was evacuated in the morning of Nov 24, 2015, following a bomb threat. After an anonymous call warning of an explosive device on the ship, police forces evacuated all 48 passengers and inspected the ferry. No suspicious materials were found. After the inspection, the ferry resumed its regular services to Marmari, southern Evia, later in the day.
