Ferry breached in grounding

The 'Express Pegasus' ran aground in shallow water near the prefecture of Armathia on Aug 24, 2020, at noon, while operating a scheduled route from the port of Sitia to the ports of Kasos, Karpathos, Halki and Rhodes, with 42 passengers on board, and suffered water ingress. The ferry sailed safely into the port of Kasos. The Port Authority of Kasos banned the ship from sailing until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the attending classification society. The passengers were forwarded to their destinations with the care of the company.

Allision in Piraeus

The 'Viking Pegasus' was in allision with the ferry 'Express Pegasus' inside the new pier of Drapetsona in the night of May 27, 2020. The port department of Keratsini detained the vessels. The ferry suffered damage at the port side bridge cam. The incident did not cause injuries nor marine pollution. The port authority requested the presentation of class certificates in order to allow the departure of the ships.
