Grounding at Dumaguete City

Wed Jun 22 23:13:25 CEST 2022 Timsen

The 'Fast Cat M6' ran aground off Dumaguete City in the afternoon of Juen 22, 2022, after encountering strong winds and big waves off Pantawan, Rizal Boulevard. The starboard side of the hull was damaged. The PCG Station Dumaguete and Marine Environmental Protection Unit (MEPU)-Negros Oriental immediately coordinated with MTug Ankiesha to conduct towing operations. The 18 crew members were all safe and in good physical condition after the successful towing of the vessel to the Port of Dumaguete for further monitoring. The vessel had no passengers on board when the incident occurred. Report with photo: https://www.manilatimes.net/2022/06/22/news/ship-runs-aground-off-dumaguete-city/1848310
