Hydrofoil damaged in Piraeus

The Port Authority of Argosaronicos was informed on Aug 31, 2023, at noon by the Master of the 'Flying Dolphin Athina', that after berthing at the port of Piraeus, coming from a scheduled route from the ports of Agistrio and Aegina, the starboard side wing at the rear of the ship was damaged. The Port Authority prohibited the sailing of the vessel until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of maintenance of class by the attending classification society.

Ferry suffered mechanical damage

The Piraeus Port Authority was informed in the morning of July 12 by the Master of the 'Flying Dolphin Athina' that, after the ship's departure from the port of Piraeus on the scheduled route to the ports of Aegina and Agistrio, a mechanical breakdown occurred.The ferry returned to the port of Piraeus and safely disembarked its 25 passengers, who were forwarded to their destinations by the company. The Central Port Authority of Piraeus prohibited the sailing of the ship until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the monitoring classifition society.

Mechanical damage off Piraeus

In the evening of July 3, the Port Authority of Argosaronicos was informed by the Master of the 'Flying Dolphin Athina' that during the execution of its scheduled route from the port of Piraeus to the ports of Aegina and Agistrio, it suffered a mechanical failure in the starboard side main engine. The ship returned under its own power to the port of Piraeus, where the seven passengers disembarked safely. They were forwarded to their destinations by the ship's owning company. The Port Authority has prohibited the departure of the ferry until the damage has been repaired and a class maintenance certificate has been presented by the classifier monitoring it.
