Patient urgently medevaced
In the afternoon of March 7, 2024, the Port Authority of Zakynthos was informed that a 50-year-old patient, who had boarded the 'Fior di Levante' with an ambulance, needed immediate hospital care. The ship, which was sailing from Zakynthos to Kyllini, returned to the port of Zakynthos, where the ambulance disembarked safely and the woman was transferred to the Zakynthos General Hospital. The ship set sail again to carry out its scheduled route.
Engine damage in Poros
The Port Department of Poros of the Port Authority of Kefallinia was informed by the Captain of the 'Fior di Levante' that the ferry would not perform its scheduled route from Poros to Kyllini due to a damage to the port main engine in the morning of May 26, 2023. The Port Authority of Kefallinia initially prohibited the departure of the ship. Following repairs and the issue of a class maintenance certificate by the monitoring classification society the ferry was permitted to sail on the scheduled route to the port of Kyllini.'
Allision in Kyllini
The ferry 'Kefalonia' (IMO: 7426045) allided with the 'Fior di Levante', which was berthed at Kyllini port on April 1, 2023, at 7 a.m. LT. The 'Kefalonia' suffered a minor dent. The incident took place due to strong winds in the area. Both vessels remained at Kyllini, waiting for the class inspection.
