Rogue wave damaged car

Tue Sep 24 11:52:20 CEST 2019 Timsen

A rogue wave was responsible for destroying a car's windshield during the Bell Island crossing of the 'Flanders' on Sep 21, 2019. The Hyundai Sedan was parked on the vehicle deck during the crossing from Bell Island to Portugal Cove. When the car's owner retrieved the vehicle after the ferry docked, she found the windshield entirely smashed along with other dents in the car's hood and roof. The car was now awaiting repairs at an autobody shop in the St. John's area, and the province stated costs for such repairs would be subject to the driver's insurance policy.
