Ferry suffered engine damage
On the morning of April 16, 2024, the Port Authority of Argosaronicos was informed by the Master of the 'Flying Cat 6' that during its scheduled route from Porto Heli via Spetses, Ermioni, Hydra and Poros to the port of Piraeus, the ship experienced a malfunction in the starboard side main engine. The ferry sailed safely to Piraeus, where it disembarked the 176 passengers and its 12 crew members. The Port Authority banned the ship from sailing until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the monitoring classification society. The next scheduled route was carried out by the catamaran ferry 'Aereo 1' to the ports of Poros, Hydra, Spetses and Porto Helio.
Hydrofoil suffered engine failure
In the afternoon of Oct 23, 2023, the Port Authority of Hydra was informed by the Master of the "Flying Cat 6" that during its scheduled route from the ports of Piraeus and Poros, the starboard side main engine failed. The vessel sailed safely to the port of Hydra with 12 crew members and 37 passengers on board, who disembarked safely and were then forwarded to their destination by the care of the company. The Hydra Port Authority initially prohibited the sailing of the ferry, while upon presentation of a certificate of seaworthiness from the monitoring classification society, it was allowed to sail on a single voyage without passengers, to the port of Piraeus.
Hydro thruster had vibrations
The Port Authority of Argosaronicos was informed in the morning of Aug 31, 2023, by the Master of the "Flying Cat 6", that during the scheduled route from the ports of Portohelio-Spetson-Hermione-Hydra-Poros and Piraeus, a vibration was detected in the port side hydro thruster. The ship sailed into the port of Piraeus and safely disembarked the 180 passengers. The Central Port Authority of Piraeus banned the ship from the sailing until the presentation of a certificate of maintenance of class by the classification society monitoring the ship.
