Trawler disabled in Greenland Sea

The Norwegian Coast Guard vessel "Svalbard" (IMO: 8640387) was called to assist the "Forpost" in the Greenland Sea on Nov 9, 2018, which had got its propeller fouled by a trawl bag and was disabled. The "Svalbard" took the trawler in tow and headed for Longyearbyen. On Nov 10 at 7.30 it dropped anchor in pos. 78° 14.33' N 015° 39.07' E. The trawler left the port of Longyearbyen again on Nov 13 at 5.30 p.m. and headed back to the fishing grounds in the Greenland Sea. Trawler detained for suspected fish dumping

The "Forpost" was ordered to divert to the port of Tromsø by the Norwegian Coastguard under that suspicion that it has dumped fish on Apr 9, 2017. The crew was interrogated regarding the suspected illegal discarding of the fish,by the Tromsø police after it berthed at 9 a.m. At 8.30 p.m. the trawler was released again and headed towards the Norwegian Sea.
