Medevac off Cabo de Gata
On Dec 7, 2023, the 'Frankfurt am Main' requested the medical evacuation of a sick crew member by helicopter 50 nautical miles from the Cabo de Gata. The CCS Almería of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the SAR helicopter Helimer 207, which hoisted the patient and took him to the Almería Airport, where an ambulance picked him up for further transport to a hospital for further medical care.
German Naval Yards to repair damaged combat support ship
Frankfurt am Main German Navy’s combat support ship EGV FRANKFURT AM MAIN on Wednesday arrived in Kiel where it will be repaired by German Navy Yards. Damaged supply ship towed to Kiel for repairs
On June 13, 2017, the "Frankfurt am Main - A 1412", which has suffered stern damage, was towed from Wilhelmshaven to Kiel for repairs by the tugs "Multratug 3" and "Bugsier 3" on June 14.
