Allísion in Brunsbüttel
On June 29, 2016, at 3.35 a.m. the "Fri Brevik" allided with the lock in Brunsbüttel enroute from Chatham to Kalmar. The ship entered the new southern lock and was advised to berth at the middle wall. Inside the lock chamber a scaffolding was erected for construction work which penetrated into the basin. The ship passed the scaffolding in order to berth with port side. Underway, the ship was caught by a wind gust and the stern pushed into the scaffolding. Both suffered damage in a yet unknown amount. After investigations the "Fri Brevik" was allowed to continue around 5 a.m. to Kalmar, ETA June 30 at noon.
