Grounding near Bergen
Enroute from Slovag to Etne the "Frydholm" ran aground between Kongsøy and Alversund off Alverstraumen in the morning of June 16, 2015. Two holes were punched into two ballast tanks and the ship took on water. The lifeboat "Kristian Gerhard Jebsen" was dispatched to the gravel loaded freighter which was able to refloat with own power. The lifeboat reached the ship in the Byfjord and escorted it to Laksevåg in Bergen where it was safely berthed at 9 a.m. Te police and the Norwegian coastal administration boarded the ship and conducted a drug test of the captain with negative result. Sandcarrier on the rocks
The "Maribo" ran aground in the Vartdal Fjord in Møre og Romsdal in the night of July 10, 2013. Police in Sunnmøre was notified of the grounding at 01.05 a.m. The ship was had passed Eltrane on Sula with nine knots when it ended on rocks at Nordre Vartdal. The sandcarrier was underway to Ørsta coming from Olsvika, Ålesund. Both the police and the lifeboat "Emmy Dyvi" assisted in the salvage. An attempt to refloat the ship which was stuck with its foreship was abandoned at 4 a.m. due to the outgoing Tide. The grounded ship was taking on water, but there was no danger to the crew. A more powerful tug, the "Bamse Tug", was called pull off the ship at high tide The ship had on board about ten tons of diesel. Coming from Bergen to Hellvik the "Maribo" ran aground on Apr 17, 2010, in the Egern Sound off Hellvik. Stern and rudder got stuck when the ship was trying to turn around in the harbour basin. The crew stopped the engine, causing the ship, and the ship got stuck on the shore. It later was able to refloat with own power.
