Fire in engine room
Due to a short circuit in a transformer a fire broke out in the engine room of the "Fueltrans 4" on Aug 6, 2014, at 4.30 a.m. on the Wilhelmina Canal at Tilburg near to the industrial park Vossenberg. The fire rescue attended with several engines. The owner himself was started to extinguish the fire which was finally brought under control by the fire rescue at 5 a.m. The engine room which was full of smoke had to be ventilated in the follow up. Neither the master nor his deckhand were injured. The tanker had no cargo on board.
