Crew member died on board
A crew member of the "Dunmore" succumbed after feeling unwell while the fishing vessel was south of Penmarc'h in the morning of Aug 1, 2017. The owner of the "Dunmore" had alerted the CROSS Etel that the sailor was discomforted, while the ship was 16 nautical miles off Penmarc'h. The Regional Surveillance and Rescue Center immediately sent a medical team to thetrawler. A helicopter dropped off a member fire brigade on the trawler to carry out first aid which was then joined by a second helicopter with a medical team on board. They did not succeed to resuscitate the sailor. The SNSM-boat from Loctudy came to escort the trawler during the return to the dock.
