Allision in Kloster

On July 16, 2016, at 2.45 p.m. the "Gellen" suffered a technical malfunction of the rudder gear during a turning manoever upon entering the port of Kloster and slammed into the water taxi "Anna Maria" of the company 'Weiße Flotte' which was moored at the quay. The 104 passengers of the Hiddensee ferry were not injured. The water taxi suffered significant damage. The ferry was sidelined for investigations. The "Anna Maria" was taken to a repair yard on July 18.

Allision in Schaprode

On May 13, 2014 the "Gellen" allided with a moored pleasure boat in the port of Schaprode as the consequence of a failed docking manoever. First the vessel hit a fendering, next the stern touched the boat at a pier. The "Gellen" was damaged, but remained seaworthy and was allowed to continue its service after investigations of the police Stralsund.
