Ferry stuck on rock
The "Gullmaj" ran aground on a rock between Finnsbo and Skår on Sep 28, 2012, after it lost the ability to steer during the trip across the fjord in the morning. The was stuck for an hour before it was able to back off. The ferry was loaded with vans, trucks, buses and passenger vehicles. After the passengers and cars were landed, the ferry proceeded to a repair yard for investigations. Already when the ferry left Gullmaj in the morning there was a problem with the propulsion which could be solved, however.
