Fire on cargo ship doused
The Vietnam Maritime Search & Rescue Co-ordination Centre (MRCC) successfully assisted the "ROB Borea" with a crew of 15 on Aug 17, 2013. The cargo hold of the ship, which was coming from Hongkong at that time, had caught fire five nautical miles from the Haiphong’s Buoy No 1. The MRCC sent the "SAR 411" to assist. The fire was doused within two hours, and the "SAR 441" took the casualty in tow to Haiphong roads where it anchored on Aug 18 at 3.45 a.m.
