The newly-built deepwater pipelay crane vessel "Hai Yang Shi You 201" was delivered from her building yard in Qingdao. The vessel, with a length of 204.65 meters and width of 39.2 meters, will sail for the South China Sea to conduct pipelay operation in the Liwan 3-1 gasfield. http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/202936/7817937.html

"Hay Yang Shi You" started first sea trials

On June 20, 2011, the "Hay Yang Shi You" started sea trials from the Nantong port of Rugao in Jiangsu Province, after having been built at the Rongsheng Heavy Industries Shipyard. The ship is the first DP class 3 S-lay - Heavy Lift vessel built in China for a Chinese National Oil Company. The vessel was designed by Gusto Engineering from The Netherlands. The first projects for the vessel after delivery are in the South Chinese Sea Offshore area and are ranging from 70 to 1500 m water depth. All project control, vessel management and crewing will be done from COOEC offices in Tianjin. All lower ranking functions will be executed by an experienced crew of Chinese nationality.
