Bulkcarrier still stuck

Sat Jul 16 16:28:08 CEST 2016 Timsen

On July 16 the "Hakata Queen" was still stuck about 15 nautical miles south of Læsø and 12 miles east of Hals in the Aalborg Bay after she ran aground on July 15 at 4 a.m. The "Mette Miljø" left the site around 5 p.m. after no Pollution was observed and headed for the port of Hals. A salvage company was developping a plan how to refloat the ship. Before the ship is allowed to sail after the salvage, it must be examined by divers.
