Oil spill during bunkering
The "Haksa" caused an oil spill during bunker supply operations at Derince port on March 8, 2019. A pollution prevention operation was started by the port authority along with local municipality teams. Derince Safiport was closed to in and outgoing vessel traffic by the harbour master until the completion of fuel removal. An ooncident investigation file was placed and a fine imposed due to a breach of pollution prevention rules. The vessel's departure permission was cancelled until the fule was removed and the payment of the pollution fine. The vessel left Derince on March 10 at 6.25 a.m.
Repairs in final stage
While steel replacement has been completed by the shipyard teams in Tuzla, the ship remained stationary in pos. 40° 50.88' N 029° 17.38' E. Final control and tightness tests were being conducted under the supervision of class surveyors. The ship sailed on Oct 4.
Damaged ship arrived in Tuzla under tow
The "Haksa" arrived at the Tuzla shipyard area in the morning of July 27. Upon completion of arrival formalities, the vessel entered the shipyard in the evening.Upload News
