Wreck raised 16 months after sinking

Tue Aug 27 10:09:03 CEST 2019 Timsen

The "HEL-103", which sank on April 14, 2018 at 3 p.m. due to overloading while fishing in position 54 ° 26.62 N, 019 ° 09.71 E, has been raised on Aug 14, 2019 by the sheerleg "Conrad Consul". The ship had been resting on the bottom six miles north of the Vistula estuary at a depth of 65 meters. The crew of six had been rescued by the nearby fishing vessel "Hel 111" and transported to the port of Hel after the accident. The recovery was carried out by the Dutch company Qceas under a contract signed in May 2019, with the help of Polish units 'Captain Poinc' of the Maritime Search and Rescue Service, which was used as a diving base and with Qceas underwater equipment being installed on it), and the tug "Vega" of the Gdańsk company "WUŻ" Port and Maritime Services Ltd. On Aug 25 the wreck was moored in the port of Hel.
