The first international ship of the season voyaged for 11 days across the Atlantic Ocean, before unloading 9,400 tons of steel coil Monday at the Port of Indiana-Burns Harbor. The 655-foot bulk carrier M/V Irma kicked off the international shipping season at the deepwater port on Lake Michigan, which operates year-round but which is busiest when the weather is warm and hulking ocean-faring vessels dock to unload and load cargo
