Jin Fu saved crew

The "Jin Fu" saved the crew of the abandonded cargo vessel "Han Splendor" on Dec 23 after it developed a list to port 165 nautical miles east of Batan Island in Batanes. The 11 men from Myanmar and six Koreans were transferred to a patrol boat of the Philippinie Coastguard later while the "Jin Fu" continued its voyage to Hianjin. Before, thhe Coast Guard Luzon was informed by the vessel’s owners, the Han Ship that the ship had encountered problems and the crew was stranded at sea in lifeboats. A Notice to Mariners was disseminated to all vessels departing from Port Irene, Cagayan to be on the look out for possible sighting of the missing crew members.
