Mon Jun 04 09:31:17 CEST 2018 Timsen

The "Burhou I", en route from Belfast, where it had sailed on June 1, 2018, at 8.55 p.m., to Furnace with a crew of six and a cargo of 850 tonnes stones on board, suffered water ingress in the engine room in position 55 25 45 N, long 005 35 58.8 W on June 2 at 01.55 a.m. The Campbeltown lifeboat escorted the vessel to Campbeltown harbour where it was docked at 06. 20 a.m. The master's intention was to unload the cargo before investigating the source of the water ingress, undergo temporary repair works and then take the vessel to dry dock, following an approval from its agent or owner.
