Engine trouble off Lowestoft
The 'Kaszuby', en route from Riga to Rouen with 18 crew members on board encountered a problem with the engine water cooling system in position 52 34 49N, 002 50 55E, about 41 nautical miles east-northeast of Lowestoft in the morning of Sep 18, 2021. The vessel was carrying 32868.74 metric tonnes of rapeseed as cargo. It left the deep water route to carry out repairs by the crew. After they were completed, the ship resumed its voyage with an ETA as of Sep 19.
Grounding in Caribbean Sea
The 'Kaszuby' ran aground after losing propulsion due to overheating 8.3 miles off New Amsterdam on Oct 24, 2019. The vessel commenced maneuvering and refloated at 11.30 a.m. with the rising tide. It resumed its voyage to Port of Spain with an ETA as of Oct 26, 2 p.m. and sailed on Oct 27, bound for Dneprobugskiy, ETA Nov 14.
