Fishing vessel troubled near Harstad
The Norwegian Coast Guard at Sortland assisted the "Svalbard" with the assistance of the "Kato" which had suffered technical problems at the Tjeld Sound Bridge in Harstad on Oct 18, 2017. The operation involves an MOB boat from the "Svalbard" which could assist quite quickly as well as the Coastguard from Harstad. The MOB boat took the casualty in tow and pulled it backwards towards the "Svalbard". At 10.30 p.m., both the "Kato", the MOB and the "Svalbard" were on the north side of the bridge on their way to Harstad.
