Ferry suffered flooding
The 'KMP Jembatan Musi I' suffered a flooding throught the bow ramp, while sailing from Banyuasin Regency to the Bangka Regency on June 2, 2023. The ferry managed to return to dock at Tanjung Api-Api Port, Banyuasin, at4.05 p.m. WIB. It had sailed from Tanjung Api-api Port en route to Tanjung Kalian Port. The flooding was caused by a rubber rampdoor that was impermeable to the bow and was unable to dispel the swift sea water. Because the discharge was too large, the seawater also entered the car deck, BT room and a void tank. The captain thereupon decided to return to Tanjung Api Harbour in South Sumatra.
