Water ingress via open stern ramp

Crew of both the KMP Nusa Dharma' and the KMP ''Panorama Nusantara' have been evacuated after the collision of the two ferries. Water had entered the stern part of the KMP 'Nusa Dharma' after the ramp malfunctioned and opened due to bad weather conditions after it was in collision with the KMP 'Panorama Nusantara'. High waves and strong winds had caused the two vessels to go adrift after the anchors dragged. No injuries were reported.

Ferry collision in Banten

Personnel from the Banten Police along with the Basarnas Banten, Cilegon City Fire Department, BPTD Region 8 Banten and PMI Cilegon City evacuated the crew of the KMP 'Nusa Dharma' after a collision with the ferry KMP 'Panorama Nusantara' on Feb 10, 2022. Trucks overturned on ferry

Two coconut and banana loaded trucks overturned on the cargo deck of the KMP 'Nusa Dharma' on Nov 27, 2021, amidst bad weather, high waves and strong currents which hit the waters of the Sunda Strait off Merak Harbor, Cilegon City, Banten. The ship had departed from Bakauheni Port at 7 p.m. Near Tempurung Island close to Merak port the ferry was hit by extreme weather and was shaken violently. The ship managed to dock at Pier 2 in Merak at 9:40 p.m. The recovery of the two overturned vehicles took a long time, and was only completed on Nov 28 at 12.30 a.m. Then the ship dropped anchor near the waters of Pulomerak Besar because it had exceeded the port time limit.
