The "Woutrina" suffered water ingress in the engine room in the morning of Apr 20, 2011. The water ingress was remarked when the ship was to be unloaded at Agrifirm at 10 a.m. and the fire rescue of Veghel called. They got the situation under control 2 hours later with a submersible turbine pump to pump the water out. Because there was some oil in the bilge, it built a layer of oil on the water which made it difficult to pump it back into the channel. The fire brigade turned Rijkswaterstraat to ensure a safe discharge of the oil-water-mixture and to handle the matter further. In the follow-up a small leak was discovered in the trunk space to a food compartment. The cause was still unknown, but firefighters suspected a broken shaft to have caused the leak.
