Ferry pier in Moskenes reopened
The ferry pier in Moskenes has reopened on Sep 10, 2025, and the service on the route Bodø-Røst-Værøy-Moskenes was back in normal operation with the first trip to Bodø at 3:15 p.m., arriving in Moskenes at 6:30 p.m. The last departure on the alternative route was from Svolvær at 7:45 a.m., arriving in Bodø at 11:45 a.m. The ferry pier was scheduled to reopen already on Sep 9, but the opening was postponed until the following day. The 'Landegode' left Bodø on Sep 8 and berthed in Kjøreneset near Leirvik on Sep 10.
Repairs of ferry pier and ferry underway
The ferry pier in Moskenes municipality, which was destroyed, when the "Landegode" drove straight into, remained out of service as of Sep 9. Damage was identified to the cylinder, lifting tower, hoses, hydraulic pipes and railings, and the entire ferry bridge had to be checked for damage. Repair work began on Sep 6. The "Landegode" itself suffered minor damage in the accident. To remedy the situation, a temporary ferry connection was established directly between Bodø and Svolvær on the evening of Sep 5.
Repairs of ferry pier underway
The repairs of the Moskenes ferry pier were underway on Sep 8, and it was expected to operate again on Sep 9 at 4.45 p.m.. The sailings between Bodø and Moskenes in Lofoten were cancelled until further notice after the allision of the "Landegode" collided with the ferry pier in Moskenes on Sep 4 at 8 p.m. If everything goes according to pla the ferry service between Bodø and Lofoten will resume as normal. The temporary ferry route between Bodø and Svolvær was continued on Sep 8. It is around three quarters of an hour longer than the regular route from Bodø to Moskenes. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration encouraged travelers to follow Torghatten's website for updated information on timetables. The 'Landegode' shifted to Bodø on Sep 7.
