Three migrants rescued off Algeciras

Thu Jul 21 12:22:42 CEST 2022 Timsen

Salvamento Marítimo has rescued two distressed migrants, and the 'Levante Jet' has helped a third near the coast of Algeciras (Cádiz) on July 20, 2022. South of Punta Europa, the "Levante Jet" located a person who was attached to a lifebuoy and proceeded to help. It was a North African man, who at 8:49 a.m. was on board the ship for later transfer to Algeciras. Later, another ship warned of the presence of a person on board a paddle surf board, who was rescued by the SAR boat "Salvamar Denébola" at 9:56 am. An hour later, the same boat located another individual on a similar table and also proceeded to rescue him southeast of Punta Carnero. Both were mmen of North African origin. All of them were transferred to the port of Algeciras in apparent good health.
