Ferry suffered porpulsion trouble
The 'Loch Bhrusda; en route from Fishnish to Tobermory, Isle of Mull with six crew members and three passengers on board, got an object stuck in one of the vessel's Schottel jet propulsion units, in pos. 56 32 25.2 N, 005 53 37.2 W in the Sound of Mull on March 22, 2023, at 10.50 a.m. UTC. While there was still propulsion from the other unit, there was a limited manoeuvrability and the ferry unable to berth in either Fishnish or Lochaline ports on the regular route. Therefore, it was heading to Tobermory to disembark the passengers and get a diver inspection. The Tobermory CRT was tasked to attend harbour to provide support and information as required. The vessel was carrying one lorry on board and no dangerous goods as cargo.
