Due to essential maintenance on the 'Lochnevis', operating on the route Mallaig-Small Isles on the evening of July 31, the scheduled sailings on Aug 1 were announced to be liable to disruption or cancelation at short notice by the operator CalMac.

Ferry needed essential repairs overnight

The 'Lochnevis', serving on the route Mallaig-Small Isles, was in need of essential repairs on the evening of July 10. As a consequence, the morning services on July 11 were announced to be liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice by the operator CalMac. A passenger and vehicle charter has been sourced and would be available if required. On the morning of July 11, the repairs have been successfully completed, so that a normal service could be operated.

Ferry suffered bow trhuster trouble

On Feb 19, the 'Lochnevis', sailing on the route Mallaig-Small Isles, suffered an issue with the vessel’s bow thruster. Combined with adverse weather conditions, an amended timetable was operated with the ferry departing from Mallaig at 10:15 a.m., arriving in Eigg at 11:35 a.m., sailing from there at 11:45 a.m. and arriving back in Mallaig at 1:05 p.m.
