Grounding at Skarberget
The 'Lote', sailing between Skarberget and Bognes, ran aground at Skarberget in Nordland on Feb 28, 2026, at around 2.25 p.m. with 18 people on board. The NSSR lifeboat 'Sundt Flyer' was on standby in Skarberget. There was no danger to the 11 passengers or the seven crew members. The shipping company was trying to get hold of tugs. Two coast guard ships were mobilised too. The The grounded ferry could be refloated using the high tide at 9.31 p.m. by the tug 'Boss' (IMO: 910875) along with the lifeboat, and taken to the quay, where the passengers were disembarked. Also the tug 'BB Connector' (IMO: 9451549) was on scene. The ferry was blocking the quay for the 'Glutra' until the morning of March 1. The ship has then been transported to the Lødingen Mekaniske shipyard for repairs of the damage, where it rermained stationary as of March 5. The work of finding a replacement ferry by the operator Fjord 1 was underway. To cope with the cancellationgs, extra departures were offered on the route Drag-Kjøpsvik. Engine trouble halts ferry
The "Lote" running between Anda and Lote on Aug 8, 2011, had to be taken out of because of technical problems. The ferry was hoped to be back in operation at 4 p.m., but this had to be delayed to at least 6 p.m. because of ongoing trouble with the engine.
