Cruise ship diverted to Las Palmas

After the airport in Funchal was closed due to a storm, the 'Mein Schiff Herz' was diverted to Las Palmas and left Funchal on Dec 4 at 11 p.m. The ship arrived in Las Palmas on Dec 5 at 2.30 p.m. from where passengers booked on flights in Funchal were carried home.

Cabins flooded by broken pipes

On March 12 some passenger cabins on deck 4 were flooded during the port call of the "Mein Schiff Herz" in Barcelona. The affected passengers were accomodated in balcony cabins and compensated. The crew immediately started to remove panels in order to locate the leakage which had been caused by broken pipes. Also the carpets had to be removed. The ship left port at 6.30 p.m. and headed to Palma de Mallorca. Medevac off Cartagena

Enroute from Palma de Mallorca to Cádiz a passenger of the "Mein Schiff Herz" was medevaced about 20 miles SE of Cape Palos off the Spanish coast. The SAR boat "Salvamar Mimosa" was ddeployed from Cartagena, while the "Mein Schiff Herz" diverted towards the bight of Cartagena where the patient was disembarked aroudn 11 a.m., accompanied by the ship's doctor, a nurse and a crew member to the port. Then the "Salvamar Mimosa" transferred the three back onto the cruise ship which continued its voyage to Cádiz at noon.
