Allision in Gildeskål

On the evening of Feb 12, 2026, the ferry 'Støtt' (IMO: 7804986), which operates on the Sund-Horsdal-Sørarnøy route, allided with the 'Meløytind', that was moored at the quay in Gildeskål in Nordland, enroute from Sund. Whule maneuvering to the Horsdal quay, the ship veered off course before it hit the ferry, which was laid up as a reserve ferry at the quay and was pushed away by the impact. Some minor damage occurred to the bow visor of the 'Støtt', which was removed from the route for inspections. The Norwegian Maritime Authority was notified of the incident by the shipping company, and the office in Bodø followed up with an inspection of both vessels. Ferry suffered technical fault

The 'Meløytind ', serving on the route Sund–Horsdal–Sørarnøym suffered a technical fault on Oct 27, 2025, and had to be taken out of service for repairs in Sund-Karmøy. Work commended to man the reserve vessel 'Os'. The ship arrived in Sør-Arnøy at 11:00 a.m. and took over the traffic, untiil being redirected to Gildeskål on Oct 28. She would be replaced during the day.

Ferry service interrupted due to technical trouble

Ferry service on the route Langevåg-Buavåg was canceled for 2,5 hours i nthe morning of Aug 22, 2019, due totechnical problems of the "Utstein". Operator Norled announced a delay in ferry traffic 06.40 a.m. The ferry returned to normal operation after troubleshooting at 9 a.m.
