Dismantling has commenced

Demolition of the "Mie Mols" at JATOB Aps - Orlas Produkthandel started on Feb 24 in Frederikshavn. The company which has its headquarter in Bjerringbro bought the ferry for a still undisclosed amount. Mols-Linien has tried to sell the Ferry along with the sister ship "Mai Mols", but even after the price was reduced from 7.5 million to just 2.5 million Danish crowns, the ships were too expensive. The "Mie Mols" came to Frederikshavn on May 11, 2013, and was since emptied of spare parts as furniture, kitchens and other interior for resale. JATOB has recently been working on removing pipes, cables, insulation and so on. Dismantling the ship will be done in 10 days. JATOP Aps has also purchased the "Mai Mols" which is expected to arrive on Feb 25 and is due to be broken up in spring.
