Engine failure on St. Lawrence River
The "Mississauga Express" suffered an engine failure which caused the partial loss of main engine power while the vessel was in the St. Lawrence River off Les Escoumins pilot station, Quebec, in position 48 24 23.7 N, 69 13 14.8 W, on March 7 at 6.30 p.m. The vessel proceeded to Les Razades anchorage off Trois-Pistoles, Quebec, where the crew carried out repairs and the vessel resumed its voyage. It berthed at the Racine Container Terminal in Montreal on March 9. It sailed again on March 13 at 3.15 a.m., bound to Algeciras, ETA March 21.
Container ship fined for exceeding speed
The Canadian Transport Ministry fined the "Mississauga Express2 with 6.000 $ for transiting the western St. Lawrence Gulf too fast. The ship had sailed from Montreal on Jan 8, 2018. The speed in the region was restricted to 10 knots.Upload News
