German passenger missing from ferry

Mon Dec 09 12:31:49 CET 2024 Timsen

A 70 year old German passenger has disappeared from the 'Moby Tommy'. The man was on the "Moby Tommy", travelling from Porto Torres in to Genoa. The last contact with the passenger was on Dec 1, 2024, at around 7 a.m., shortly before the ship arrived in Genoa. When the man was no longer found on board, the captain reported the passenger's disappearance to the local police. During a search of the ferry, personal items such as clothing and a mobile phone were found in the man's cabin. To find out whether the man may have left the ship in Genoa, the port authorities and the police were examining the surveillance camera recordings. The crew and other witnesses who had seen the man during the trip have also already been questioned. Further search measures have now been initiated in the area, including the use of helicopters.
