Engine trouble in St. Lawrence Estuary

Exhaust valve failure
The 'Montreal Express' suffered a failure of an exhaust valve in the main engine unit No. 5 in position 47 56 36.5 N, 069 44 16.7 W, eight miles northeast of Saint-Simeon, on March 18. 2020, at 02.45 a.m. The vessel continued its voyage in he Gulf of St. Lawrence at a reduced speed. It was enroute from Montreal to Southampton, UK, with an ETA as of March 26.
Auxiliary engine failure at Sept Iles
The 'Montreal Express' suffered a failure of its No. 2 auxiliary engine 48 miles south-southeast of Sept-Iles, Quebec, in position 49 26 39.8 N, 066 00 24.7 W, on Feb 11, 2020, around 5 p.m. Repairs were carried out by a third-party contractor in Montreal, and the vessel continued its voyage to Antwerp on Feb 16 at 2.40 p.m. with an ETA as of Feb 26.Upload News
