Ketch towed to Braye Harbour

Thu Jun 26 11:41:46 CEST 2014 Timsen

Alderney’s lifeboat launched at 12:48 p.m. on June 25, 2014, to help nine people on board the "Moosk" whose engine had failed and which, under sail, was unable to make headway against the wind and tide. The ketch was 3,5 miles south of Telegraph Bay and was on her way to Alderney from Sark. The Trent class lifeboat "Roy Barker I" was on scene within 20 minutes of launch, a tow was established and both boats were secure in Braye Harbour by 2:50 p.m. Report with photos: http://rnli.org/NewsCentre/Pages/Alderneys-RNLI-Lifeboat-launched-to-haul-nine-sailors-to-safety3.aspx
