The 'Marielyst' (IMO: 9448669), while berthing at the port of Las Palmas, Canary Islands, allided with the containership 'MSC Rosaria' on Jan 26, 2021, at 7.40 p.m.. The ship came from Alicante and had a pilot on board. The Portuguese maritime investigations team has already commenced procedures for collecting evidence for analysis, from the vessels and the Spanish authorities. The 'Marielyst' remained stationary in port as of Jan 28. The 'MSC Rosaria' left on Jan 26 at 8 p.m., headed to Dakar with an ETA as of Jan 28.

Container ship reached destination after fuel injection problems

The "MSC Rosaria" arrived at Yokohama on Apr 8, 2018, at 4.40 p.m. The ship had reported fuel injection problems in the Strait of Georgia, British Columbia, 5.60 nautical miles west-northwest of Sandheads, in position 49 09 15.6N, 123 24 47.4W, on March 26 at 6.30 a.m. The vessel's anchor was deployed to avoid a dangerous situation and the crew carried out repairs.
