Robbers stole ship's stores
The "Nord Valorous" while moored at the Abidjan anchorage at the Ivory coast, was boarded by two robbers armed with long knives on Jan 19, 2019, at 10.40 p.m. The duty seaman on routine rounds noticed a ladder hooked to the ship's guardrails and two robbers near the poop deck winch. The Officer of the Watch was notified and raised the alarm. The Master directed the searchlight towards the poop deck, resulting in the robbers fleeing the vessel and escaping with stolen ship's stores.
