Five injured in ferry allision in Manly
The "Ocean Wave" crashed into Sydney's Manly Wharf on sEp 13, 2017, at 12.45 p.m., leaving several on board with minor injuries. The ship which had left Circular Quay at 12.10 p.m. hit the wharf at low speed as it was approaching it. The vessel was moving at four to five knots when the starboard side hit the wharf at a 45 degree angle. While some of the 30 passengers needed medical attention, no ambulance was required. About half a dozen people had some minor injuries - scratches and some bumps. The ferry suffered damage to the bow has been taken out of service as Roads and Maritime looked into the incident. The crew was tested for drugs and alcohol as a routine.
