Hamburg Bridge sank Oriental Sunrise

Underway from Longkou to Quingdao the Panama-flagged cargo m/v "Oriental Sunrise" was in collision with the "Hamburg Bridge" off the coast of Qingdao City on Oct 28, 2011, and sank. Nine members of the North Korean crew of the "Oriental Sunrise" were rescued, three of whom were injured, while ten other crew members were missing. Thirteen boats were involved in an SAR operation. Vessel evading attack. Vessels are warned that if passing within 100nm of this area to exercise extreme caution.
