Oceanic sold to Karadeniz Holding and renamed Osman Khan

The OCEANIC was sold to the Turkish company Karadeniz Holding in the summer of 2013. New name for the now operated under the Liberian flag vessel is OSMAN KHAN . on the further use of the ship, there are different information. So the ship may continue to be used as a tug or be converted into a yacht in the future

Oceanic due to be sold to new owners

The "Oceanic", being laid up in Bremerhaven since 2011, was shifted from the quay of Bugsier to the fishing port on June 12, 2013, for a hull survey by divers which is impossible at the previous, more shallow berth. The ship is to be sold to new Turkish owners, and the inspection is part of the routine procedure in this regard. The ship will also in future be used as a tug, and the delivery is being planned between June 17 and 21.

Oceanic replaces disabled Nordic

The "Oceanic" was temporary re-activated as German emergeny tug in the German Bight as the "Nordic" was disabled by a cable in its propeller during the salvage of the "Maersk Jennings" on Dec 12, 2011, and is actually drydocked at Bred Yard Bremerhaven.
