On the New Merwede the 'Partner', 1970 ts (EU-No.: 02325307), was in collision with an approaching tank barge off the Beatrix Port in Werkendam on July 6, 2018, at 9.15 p.m. The KNRM Dorrecht attended with the 'KBW 1910‘ as well as the fireboat Zuid-Holland-Zuid, Rijkswaterstaat with the patrol boat 'RWS 71' and the anti pollution forces of HEBO were alerted in case oil had spilled. Both ships were between Werkendam and the Kop van ’t Land. The tanks of the barges which were loaded with gas oil and xylen were not damaged. The 'KBW 1910‘ and the fire rescue remained on site until both ships were berthed in Werkendam. The 'Partner‘ suffered a breach above the water line, the other ship bow damage. Rijkswaterstaat and the police launched an investigation.
