Grounding off Kragerø

The MRCC in southern Norway was notified of the grounding of the "Pauline - M-33-K" south of Oterøy in Kragerø on Aug 15, 2017, around 3.30 p.m. It was listing severely to starboard side. There was a crew of two aboard the ship who got assistance by the lifeboat "Uni Kragerø" to get the ship off again. It had hit the ground at a well-marked underwater shear. The reason was not known. No one was injured in the grounding. The ship, once refloated, entered the port of Stromstad and left again on Aug 27 for the fishing grounds. Disabled trawler towed to Engelsviken

The lifeboat "Horn Rescue» assisted the disabled "Pauline", 110 gt ("Pauline - M-33-K", 110 gt (IMO: 9730725), from May 11 to 12, 2016, and towed the ship to Skjærhalden. The NSSR was was notified by the trawler in the evening of May 11 which had got a chain in the propeller while shrimp fishing a few miles south of Færder in the Oslo Fjord. The lifeboat was on scene 30 minutes after the alert and took the ship in tow. In the morning of May 12 the convoy was heading towards Engelsviken. The trawler delivered the catch first. Disabled trawler towed to Kristiansand

30 miles south of Oksøy the propeller of the "Pauline" was fouled by a rope in the night of July 3. The lifeboat "Inge Steenland" was called from Arendal to take the shrimp trawler in tow. The trawler had to be towed about 50 nautical miles. The tow started around midnight and took until 5:30 a.m. Weather conditions were good with calm seas. Upon arrival at Kristiansand a diver was sent down to get clear the propeller of the fishing gear wrapped around it.
