Trawler was stuck on trailer
On Nov 18, 2019, the 'Polarhav' finally entered the water at the MEST shipyard in Skála after having been stuck for almost four weeks on the slip. The trailer on which the trawler was to be taken to the water was derailed, and the ship remained stuck. The Danish salvage company J.A. Rederiet was engaged to assist the Faroese shipyard. After a hard three-day effort, they succeeded. They lifted the carriage and ship back on the rails so that the 'Polarhav' could get back into its element.
